Cutting Edge Technology: TNS Recovery Complex

TNS =Tissue Nutrient Solution

-For All Skin Types, All Skincare Regimens for revolutionary anti-aging

Derived from wound-healing research where bio-engineered skin was developed for severe skin burns.  The derivative of the bio-engineered skin (Derma Graft is now widely used in burn centers) is a complex of human growth factors found in healthy young skin.

TNS is comprised of NouriCel-MD which is 110 growth factors and is 93.6% active ingredients of the Recovery Complex.  That compares to a typical 5% in store-bought skin care.  TNS is only available through medical offices.  93% of women surveyed are repeat clients of TNS! Try it- you’ll like it!

Growth Factors vs. Growth Hormones:

Human Growth Factors work on LOCAL tissue by aiding in growth, healing and regeneration.   Human Growth Hormones have a general effect on ALL tissues and organs of the body.

What does it do for you?

This activates your body’s own healing mechanisms to reverse sun-damage, stress, and aging. Your skin will begin to heal and put back what time has taken away. Think of a baby’s skin that is luminous, plump, and healthy. You will see a difference in your skin’s texture, softness, clarity and tone immediately.

Over continued use you will see a noticeable decrease in your wrinkles (at least 57% difference!) less redness and irritation (87% difference!) healthier skin and a fantastic adjunct to any other procedures, surgeries, or simply your existing anti-aging regimen!

Recommended use: 2x a day for at least 3 months, maintenance thereafter.

Chemical Peel vs Microdermabrasion: Choosing Your Treatment

Monday, January 11th, 2010

Both microdermabrasion and a chemical peel are proven treatments that can get you brighter, healthier-phoenix_microdermlooking skin.  So how do you choose between the two?

When microdermabrasion is the best choice

Most aestheticians will recommend microdermabrasion if the patient is very busy or anticipating an important event. Because the exfoliation depth is so precise with microdermabrasion, you’re less likely to experience side effects like redness or swelling. The typical healing time with microdermabrasion is also very short – usually 3 days at the most.

When to choose a chemical peel

There are however, gentle chemical peels that require very little recovery time.  But with most chemical peels, healing time is slightly longer than microdermabrasion. If you can spare a week to let the skin heal, go for the peel.

Can I just get both treatments?

Sometimes an aesthetician will recommend doing both. If done carefully, a light chemical peel such as AHA or salicylic acid can work in combination with microdermabrasion. Just make sure you choose an aesthetician or surgeon that has experience combining these treatments.

Remember: after either of these treatments, you’ll need sunscreen to protect your skin during recovery.

Feeling Awake, But Looking Tired?

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Does this sound familiar?  Your eyes are swollen morning and night.  You constantly have under eye bags and dark circles.  When people aren’t saying you look tired, they’re asking if you have allergies or if you feel okay.

If these situations cause you grief, perhaps it is time to do something about it.  When effective treatments are available, why live with such conditions?

Dr. Mikel Lo is a board certified Oculoplastic surgeon who can recommend the right treatments to rejuvenate your face and eyes:

•    Upper or lower eyelid surgery
•    A brow lift
•    Botox cosmetic
•    Injection of a dermal filler

In some cases, patients benefit from a combination of the above options.  Many choose to combine eyelid surgery with a brow lift.  Choosing to undergo surgery (or even a non-surgical procedure) is a significant decision, so try to gather as much information as possible.  View before and after photos, and speak to former patients if possible, and ask them questions like these:

  • How was the procedure beneficial for you?
  • Were you comfortable with your surgeon?
  • Would you do it again?
  • Would you do anything differently?

The eyes are one of the first features on the face to which most of us respond. You deserve to have eyes that radiate, eyes that brighten your face and eyes that reflect how young and energetic you truly feel.

If you’re ready to discuss your options, contact the Tucson, Arizona cosmetic surgery office of Dr. Lo today.
