Radiesse is a long lasting dermal filler available to fill
and correct smile lines, nasolabial folds and wrinkles around
the nose and mouth. Radiesse is made of calcium based microspheres
that stimulate your skin to produce new collagen. The results
are immediate and long lasting but not permanent.
Procedure Information
As Dr. Lo injects Radiesse under the skin, the gel and Radiesse
Microspheres form a “scaffold”, stimulating collagen
production and encouraging tissue growth in and around the
injection area. This “partnership” between Radiesse
and your own body creates a natural, smooth look. Radiesse
gradually wears off and retreatment is typically needed after
a year or more.
Additional Information
Radiesse is made from non animal sources so there is no
chance of transmitting a disease. Additionally, no prior
allergy testing is needed for Radiesse unlike bovine collagen
injections.
Concurrent Procedures
This procedure can be performed at the same time as other
cosmetic surgery, such as an eyelid
lift or laser
resurfacing.
