LaseMD Ultra Treatments

 The LaseMD Ultra technology is extremely versatile and allows our clinicians the ability to personalize your treatment to target a variety of skin concerns. Our more aggressive LaseMD resurfacing treatments target sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles and fine lines, and mild laxity. For these treatments, a topical numbing cream will be applied prior for patient comfort. You may feel warmth as the laser is passed over your skin. You can opt to enhance your LaseMD treatment with an accelerated serum, exosome serum, or cooling mask. After your LaseMD, skin will feel dry, tight, and itchy similar to a sunburn. You can expect exfoliation around day 3 with continued redness, dryness and flaking which can last 5-7 days.  Our lighter LaseMD resurfacing treatment settings can help improve skin tone and breakouts and are an ideal prejuvenation treatment for younger patients. The lighter LaseMD resurfacing treatments are quick and comfortable with just a few hours of redness post treatment.

  • LaseMD Ultra uses fractional non-ablative laser energy to gently heat targeted tissues in the deeper layers of the skin while leaving the surface layer intact. This process also stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin to improve the overall health and quality of the skin at a cellular level. And since fractional energy delivery does not remove the entire surface of the skin like other resurfacing devices this allows for faster recovery which stimulates the body’s natural healing process. LaseMD resurfacing results in less downtime when compared to ablative lasers.

  • The LaseMD Ultra treatment can vary depending on which level of resurfacing you are having. Typically a topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment for patient comfort. The LaseMD Ultra treatment is actually quick with your clinician going over the treated area multiple times to deliver the precise amount of energy. The treatment is tolerable but you may feel heat or a pinching sensation on certain areas of the face. The LaseMD treatments prep the skin to receive and absorb topical products so we typically recommend a custom Booster Serum, Mask or Exosome Serum with your treatment for enhanced results.

  • Depending on the level of treatment, there can be minimal to no downtime. Our lighter LaserMD treatments may have just 1-2 days of redness and skin will feel sunburnt and may be slightly swollen for a few hours. More aggressive LaseMD Ultra Treatments will have about 5-7 days of social downtime. This will include initial redness and swelling, followed by pigmentation or dark spots which will become darker and more noticeable before they are naturally exfoliated and sloughed off. These dark spots can look like coffee grounds on the surface of the skin, but this is normal and part of the process as the skin exfoliates around day 3 post treatment. Skin will continue to exfoliate naturally and you will experience redness, tightness, dryness, and flaking. Skin texture will be rough like sandpaper but this is a natural part of the exfoliation and rejuvenation process. By day 6-7 skin is usually fully exfoliated, healed and you have a glowing complexion!

  • The results of the LaseMD Ultra can be seen after your treatment and will continue to improve for up to six months as your collagen levels increase and improve your dermal structure.

  • We recommend adding a custom booster serum or exosome serum with your LaseMD treatment for enhanced, targeted results.
