What is RHA?

The latest innovation in hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers, the RHA Collection is made with a gentle manufacturing process to help preserve the natural structure of the hyaluronic acid, allowing it to more closely resemble the natural hyaluronic acid in your skin and last up to 15-months. Dr. Lo and the About Faces Cosmetic Surgery and Med Spa team are excited to offer the latest dermal filler advancement and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for dynamic wrinkles and folds and include three approved formulas: RHA 2, RHA 3, and RHA 4.

What makes RHA different?

The RHA Collection of hyaluronic acid fillers are the only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers for dynamic wrinkles and folds. Like other HA dermal fillers, RHA is made from hyaluronic acid—but RHA is different, because it’s made differently. Unlike other HA fillers (like Juvederm and Restylane), RHA uses a gentle manufacturing process which creates a long-chain formula preserving the natural structure of the HA. This helps it mimic the natural HA found in your skin, making RHA products better adapted to your facial movements and last longer (up to 15 months) once injected.

Three Levels of RHA

RH2

RHA 2 is injected into the mid-to-deep dermis layers to treat moderate dynamic wrinkles and lines. RHA 2 is best for filling moderate wrinkles such as lines around your mouth and lips, lines and wrinkles on your forehead and between the eyebrows.

RH3

RHA 3 is injected into the mid-to-deep layers of the dermis and treats moderate to severe dynamic lines. RHA 3 is used for filling deeper wrinkles around your face. This includes the vertical lines between your nose and lips also known as the nasolabial folds.

RH4

RHA 4 is injected into the deeper layers of superficial subcutaneous tissue to treat moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles and folds. RHA 4 is designed to softly add volume in extended areas of your face such as the cheeks, and outer contours of your face.
